The British American Open University of California, USA, also known as the Her Royal Majesty Queen Elizabeth II Memorial Open University, has conferred an award of Best Performing Leader and Best Public and Private Organization on the Executive Chairman of Qua’an Pan Local Government Council, Hon. Christopher Audu Manship Wallat
Speaking with journalists shortly after receiving the award at the ceremony, Hon. Wallat expressed deep gratitude to the organizers for recognizing his leadership and performance in office. He described the honour as a collective achievement made possible by the unwavering support and cooperation of the people of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area.
According to him, the administration inherited serious security challenges upon assumption of office, but with the help of God and the collective efforts of stakeholders, the situation has significantly improved.
When we came into office, we met insecurity, but God has helped us overcome it. This award is not just for me; it belongs to the good people of Qua’an Pan who stood by us,” he said.
Hon. Wallat also commended the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, for his commitment to grassroots development and continuous support for local government administrations across the state.
I sincerely thank His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, for his dedication and support. His passion for grassroots development has made it possible for us to deliver meaningful projects to our people,” he added.
The council chairman emphasized that his administration operates an inclusive governance model that prioritizes community participation and responsiveness to the needs of the people.
“We work with the people, we listen to them, and whatever they want is what we give to them. All the development you see today is based on the wishes of the people. That is why I am very happy,” he stated.
Hon. Wallat concluded by dedicating the award to God Almighty, the Plateau State Governor, and the entire people of Qua’an Pan Local Government Area.
“This award is dedicated to God Almighty, to His Excellency the Governor of Plateau State, and to the good people of my local government. I say thank you all,” he said.
The award is seen as a recognition of effective leadership, improved security, and people-oriented development initiatives under Hon. Wallat's administration.
