Ambassador Genevieve Tambari Fadeh, renowned entrepreneur and CEO of You Don Chop Lagos, has been conferred with an honorary doctorate at the prestigious 100 Global Impact Personalities Summit held at Merit House, Abuja. The event, themed “Fostering Collaboration for Progressive Impact”, recognized global change-makers who have made significant contributions to society through entrepreneurship, innovation, and humanitarian efforts.

In her emotional acceptance speech, Ambassador Fadeh expressed heartfelt gratitude for the recognition.

“I feel very honoured and grateful. I honestly do not take this for granted. I didn’t even know what I did to deserve this, but I believe it’s a reflection of a track record. They must have reviewed my journey in one way or another,” she said.

Despite the accolades, Ambassador Genevieve emphasized that her work has never been motivated by awards or public attention.

“My expectation is to keep doing what I’ve always done. I don’t do this for accolades or for social media—I do it because it is genuinely good to help and impact others,” she added.

Apart from her widely known food brand, You Don Chop Lagos, which has gained recognition for its commitment to feeding communities and promoting local cuisine, Genevieve is also the founder of a candle-making brand. Through this venture, she teaches young people essential vocational skills, particularly in candle-making, offering opportunities for those who may not have formal access to employment or education.

“If you haven’t gotten an opportunity, you can at least learn a skill and get your hands busy,” she said, speaking of her mission to empower youth through hands-on training.

She extended her appreciation to the African International Network and the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs for honouring her with the prestigious doctorate award.

“I don’t take this lightly. I want to sincerely thank the organizers for believing in what I do. This is not just for me—it’s for all the entrepreneurs out there working hard to make a difference.”

Ambassador Genevieve Tambari Fadeh continues to inspire with her unwavering dedication to impact, innovation, and empowerment. Her recognition at the summit serves as a beacon for aspiring changemakers across the continent.
