New Lau LGA Boss Julius Vows to Build on Gov. Kefas’ Development Legacy

The newly sworn-in Chairman of Lau Local Government Area in Taraba State, Hon. Julius Peter Vou, has expressed deep appreciation to His Excellency, Governor Agbu Kefas, for granting him the opportunity to serve the people of Lau. Speaking with journalists in the state capital, Jalingo, Hon. Vou praised the governor’s visionary leadership and pledged to advance the developmental foundation already laid in the state.
Hon. Vou outlined his administration’s blueprint, highlighting key areas of focus such as the full enforcement of Governor Kefas’ free education policy, enhancement of security across the LGA, and increased youth and women empowerment. He noted that empowerment initiatives will be driven largely through agriculture and strategic partnerships with federal agencies, including the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), the National Directorate of Employment (NDE), and other relevant institutions.
He further emphasized plans for infrastructural development, improved public services, and greater collaboration with community stakeholders to ensure sustainable growth and improved livelihoods for the people of Lau.
Reaffirming the legitimacy of their victory at the recent local government polls, Hon. Vou credited the success to Governor Kefas’ giant strides in governance—achievements which, he said, have earned widespread trust and goodwill from the people. He assured residents that his leadership will continue to build on this solid foundation to deliver meaningful progress.
Hon. Vou also extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of Lau LGA for their overwhelming support during the elections. He called on all residents to remain united and continue supporting the administration of Governor Agbu Kefas to enable the government to achieve its developmental goals for the state.
