The President of the Women of Like Minds Empowerment Initiative (WOLME), Dr. (Mrs.) Lauretta Achudume, has been honoured with a prestigious award at the SHE Conference 3.0, held on 26th November 2025 at the Arts and Culture Centre.

The award, presented under the theme “Value Added Woman,” recognizes women who consistently impact society through service, leadership, and positive influence.

Speaking with journalists shortly after receiving the award, Dr. Achudume expressed deep excitement and gratitude. She noted that genuine service often speaks louder than recognition.

“I feel so excited receiving this award. When you are doing something good, you may not even notice, but people are watching. When you keep adding value, one day you will be recognized as a woman of value in society. Just keep doing what is right,” she said

Dr. Achudume dedicated the award to God Almighty, her husband, children, and all supporters who have stood by her and the vision of WOLME.

She reaffirmed her commitment to continue empowering women and contributing positively to society.
