The Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, a nationwide initiative committed to promoting policy continuity and grassroots mobilization, held its official inauguration and maiden public lecture at Merit House, Abuja. The theme of the event was: “Continuity in Governance and Government Policies: A Panacea to Sustainable Development in Nigeria.”

The keynote speaker, Ambassador Solomon David Oke Eke, addressed a packed hall of participants, stakeholders, and political observers. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of truth, unity, and visionary leadership as tools for national transformation.

“Our mission is to sanitize the Nigerian people, to open their eyes to the truth—the truth about our position as a country and the true position of leadership,” Amb. Eke stated. “We believe that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has come with a divine mandate to change Nigeria for the better.”

He praised the current administration’s strides in tackling corruption, crime, insecurity, and economic instability. According to him, Nigeria is already seeing signs of recovery and growth under President Tinubu's leadership.

“Just months ago, Nigerians were crying out about insecurity and economic hardship. Today, we see significant improvements. The Nigerian Armed Forces are winning the battle against insecurity, and reforms are being implemented to address economic challenges. A new Nigeria is emerging,” he said.

While speaking with journalists at the sidelines of the event, Amb. Solomon David Oke Eke reaffirmed his confidence in President Tinubu’s leadership and expressed his belief that Tinubu would secure a second term in the 2027 general election.

“I was once a presidential candidate, and I stepped aside because God showed me that Bola Ahmed Tinubu would win the 2023 election,” he revealed. “I have no doubt—come 2027, he will emerge victorious again.”

He also recounted his longstanding political journey with the President, dating back to 1999 when Tinubu was first elected governor of Lagos State.

“I was with Tinubu during the 1999 Lagos governorship election. I supported his re-election for a second term as governor. Today, I see that same commitment and strength in his presidency. He is doing very well, and Nigerians are beginning to see the results,” he noted.

Amb. Eke stressed that the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement would continue to expand its reach into communities nationwide, mobilizing support and raising awareness about the importance of policy continuity and national unity.

“The Renewed Hope Movement is now in every locality. It is not just a slogan—it is a national call to action. We are here to tell Nigerians: Enough is enough. Corruption and criminality must end. President Tinubu has taken up the mantle of leadership and is sacrificing himself for the good of the nation,” he concluded.

The event ended on a high note with calls for unity, civic participation, and continued support for President Tinubu’s vision for a new Nigeria. The Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement pledged to remain active and visible across all geopolitical zones as the country looks ahead to the 2027 general elections.
