The Executive Chairman of Umunna Media and Woodhouse Consulting, Ozonkpu Chief Uche Nworah, has applauded the organisers of the Greentime International Women Empowerment Conference for their commitment to promoting the role of women in society.

Chief Nworah made this remark while speaking to journalists at the event, which was held at El-Amin International School, Maitama, Abuja. He described the conference as an important platform for encouraging gender balance, leadership development, and empowerment of women across all sectors.

In a lighthearted yet insightful comment, Chief Nworah shared a personal experience from his home, using it to highlight the natural leadership and influence women often exhibit in families and communities.

“I want to commend the organisers of this great initiative. Women have always been empowered in their own way,” he said. “In my home, I have a wife and a daughter, and every time I dress up to go out, they are the ones who decide if my outfit is okay or not. When they say, ‘Daddy, change this shirt,’ I obey. If I go against their advice, I may not even get food that day!”

He added that this everyday example reflects the subtle but powerful ways women shape decisions, both at home and in society.

Chief Nworah urged more organisations and individuals to support women-focused programs that create opportunities for growth, leadership, and participation in governance.

The Greentime International Women Empowerment Conference brought together women leaders, entrepreneurs, policymakers, and advocates from across Nigeria to discuss strategies for improving women’s economic and social standing.
