Obekpa Promises Rural, Agricultural Development in Benue

A leading governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue State, Architect Anthony Obekpa Ejeh, has pledged to transform the state’s agricultural sector through massive investment in rural infrastructure, farmer empowerment, and value-chain development to make agriculture profitable, sustainable, and a key driver of economic growth.
Obekpa, who was recently endorsed by critical AINE OMA stakeholders across all local government areas of the state made the commitment during his ongoing statewide consultation tour.
The realtor with Shekinah Glory Properties Ltd said his vision is to build a new Benue anchored on productivity, integrity, and inclusiveness, adding that the support from party members and residents has reinforced his belief in a brighter future for the state.
“Benue is blessed with vast arable land and hardworking people. Under my leadership, we will raise the bar of agricultural business by investing in rural infrastructure, empowering farmers, and building value chains that make agriculture profitable and sustainable,” Obekpa said.
He expressed appreciation to Aine Oma leaders and members for their confidence in his leadership, assuring them that he would justify their trust.
“I am sincerely grateful to our respected leaders and all party faithful for their unwavering confidence and commitment. Together, we will build a new Benue anchored on productivity, integrity, and inclusiveness. The journey to a greater Benue has begun, and with your continued support, we will make the state a model of good governance and shared prosperity,” he added.
Obekpa described the warm reception and massive turnout during his consultations as humbling and inspiring, noting that the experience reaffirmed the unity and strength of the APC in Benue.
“Throughout the consultation, the reception accorded our team was reassuring. I was truly overwhelmed by the warmth and solidarity shown by the leaders and members of our great party. The massive turnout and enthusiastic welcome reaffirm that the APC remains strong, united, and ready to retain governance in Benue State,” he said.
He explained that his engagements across local governments had deepened his understanding of the people’s needs and aspirations, adding that the grassroots support demonstrated their belief in his vision for a more prosperous Benue.
“Our focus is to make Benue a model of good governance, where productivity and accountability drive growth, and every citizen feels the impact of responsible leadership,” Obekpa said.
